Compare Common Scenarios

| Scenario | Rate per post |
|---|---|
| $15,000 / 10 posts | $1,500.00 |
| $3,000 / 4 posts | $750.00 |
| $80,000 / 12 posts | $6,666.67 |
| $600 / 6 posts | $100.00 |
How This Calculator Works
Enter the total campaign budget paid to the creator and the number of deliverables in the contract. The calculator divides one by the other to give the per-post rate, the unit figure to compare across creators and platforms.
The Formula
Cost per Unit
Total Amount is the full cost or price, Quantity is the number of units it covers
Worked Example
A $15,000 campaign across 10 deliverables works out to $1,500 per post. Many brands use a rough $10 per 1,000 followers as a starting benchmark — at that ratio, $1,500 a post would suit a creator with about 150,000 engaged followers.
Key Insight
Per-post rates collapse fast once a creator has a clear engagement rate and conversion track record. A 50,000-follower creator who actually drives sales is often worth more per post than a 500,000-follower one with passive views — and rate-card pricing rewards reach long after engagement and conversion have started to matter more.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is rate per post calculated?
Divide the total campaign budget by the number of deliverables. A $15,000 budget across 10 posts is $1,500 per post.
Should stories, feed posts, and videos be averaged together?
Only if you treat them as equivalent. They are usually priced differently — separate the calculation by post type, or use a weighted average if the contract bundles them.
What does usage-rights pricing add?
Brands paying to repurpose content in their own ads, packaging, or paid social typically pay a 25% to 100% premium on top of the standard talent fee. Include that in the budget if you want a full per-post rate.
When is this calculator unreliable?
Less reliable when engagement rate substantial (highly-engaged smaller accounts can charge premium), when usage rights (whitelisting +25-50%, paid amplification +50-100%, perpetual +100-200%) add substantial multiplier, when exclusivity / non-compete adds 25-100%, when platform differs (TikTok 50-75% of IG rate, LinkedIn B2B 1.5-3×, YouTube 2-3×), when niche premium applies (B2B, fintech, luxury), or when talent agency / management fees (10-25%) added. FTC disclosure required substantial — brand liable for influencer non-compliance.
How do I price a campaign fairly?
Start from the creator's audience, engagement, and prior conversion. Add usage rights and exclusivity premiums. Then sanity-check the per-post rate against industry benchmarks for the same platform and segment.

Methodology & Review
Influencer rate per post = base rate × engagement multiplier × usage rights × exclusivity. U.S. benchmark 2024: nano (<10K) $50-$500; micro (10K-100K) $500-$5,000; mid-tier (100K-1M) $5,000-$25,000; macro (1M-10M) $25,000-$200,000; mega (10M+) $200K-$1M+. Substantial variation by platform + engagement + niche. RELIABILITY: Reliable for typical baseline rate. Less reliable when (a) engagement rate substantial — highly-engaged smaller accounts can charge premium; (b) usage rights (whitelisting, ad amplification, perpetual) substantial multiplier 2-10×; (c) exclusivity / non-compete adds 25-100%; (d) platform differences (TikTok cheaper than IG per follower); (e) niche premium (B2B, fintech, luxury) substantial; (f) talent agency / management fees 10-25%.
