The formula used for calculating the grass seed needed is:
\( \text{Grass Seed Needed (lbs)} = \frac{\text{Lawn Area (sq ft)}}{1000} \times \text{Seeding Rate (lbs per 1000 sq ft)} \)
Measure the length and width of your lawn in feet and multiply them to get the area in square feet.
A seeding rate is the amount of grass seed you should use per 1000 square feet of lawn.
